A taste of the new album and some all time classics!
The Jeff Bearcat Bunch were as fun as ever, Poppy was impressive, and Jane's Addiction didn't disappoint. If you're a SP fan, some of those songs really are meant to be experienced with 14,000 people at least once in your lifetime. B.C. is a rock and roll superstar, and knows how to put on a show. It was a 20 song setlist with 4 from the NEW album Atum releasing next year and 16 great songs from past albums/singles. I know that there was an encore on at least one of the previous venues on this particular tour, but no encore on this evening, as the show ended after 11 PM and some centers don't allow for encores after a certain time.
The Moody Center itself is impressive. Food venues are plenty and they have a great grab and go service almost around every corner so you're never sitting in line for food or drinks, plenty of clean bathrooms as well. It was hot outside, so getting inside was nice, and had a nice cool temp the entire night. Had never been there before, and as I looked around from the floor level you could practically see the faces of the people sitting up on the upper balcony. It seemed as if everyone above was right on top of you at floor level, so can't imagine there being a bad seat in the house. Great show!
